Department of Pharmaceutics of Oriental College of Pharmacy [OCP] organized a webinar on ‘Advancements in Wet Granulation Technology’ by Mr. Ameesh Shukla, Senior Executive International Business, Macleods Pharma on Saturday, 28th August 2021. The webinar was attended by undergraduate and M. Pharm. students, researchers, faculty and industry professionals. Principal, Dr. Sudha Rathod welcomed the guest speaker and she thanked the speaker for sharing his knowledge and experience and also thanked the Co-ordinator, Dr. Mrs. Pradnya Palekar – Shanbhag, Professor & Head, Pharmaceutics Department and the Organizing Committee for taking an initiative for such noble and holistic approach. Regarding the webinar, granulation is an important unit operation in the production of solid dosage forms. Granulation process improves flow and compression properties and the product yield. The webinar helped to understand the challenges with conventional granulation approach, focussed on modern day granulation technology used in pharma industry, the automation in granulation and the upcoming granulation technologies. The Principal, Coordinator and Organizing Committee thanked the Management for their strong support to organize such successful event.
