Chikungunya is a virus transmitted by mosquitoes that causes the sudden onset of fever and severe joint pain. The females of Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti are the main species of mosquito that bite during the day and spread the disease.
The Anti-Chikungunya Campaign was held on 06th January 2017 at Sanpada Sector 08, Navi Mumbai in college campus itself from 1:30pmm to 3.:30pm.
This campaign was organized by the Student Council. As an effort of encouraging the budding pharmacists, the counseling were given by 2nd year & 3rd year students interacting with the public and making them to know about the disease, and also telling them to keep their surrounding clean.
