National Webinar entitled ‘Computer Aided Drug Design: An Overview’ was organized by Dept of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Oriental College of Pharmacy on 18th September 2021. Resource person for the webinar was Dr. Prashant Kharkar, Professor, Institute of Chemical Technology. He explained the basics of computer aided molecular design, the types of CADD and the role of bioinformatics and chemoinformatics in modern drug discovery. He also introduced the attendees to cryoelectron microscopy, a powerful tool for understanding the macromolecular structures. Few experiences of his research tenure were also shared by him with reference to his scientific publications in high impact per reviewed journals. Also the question answer session was very well structured. Principal Dr. Mrs. Sudha Rathod was the convener, Head of Department, Dr. Nutan Rao co-ordinated the programme with the help of organizing committee members Dr. Amjad Ali, Dr. Harish Kundaikar, Dr. Manasi Gholkar, Mr. Shoaib Ansari and Mr. Suraj Gupta.
