If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful mind I strongly feel there are 3 key societal members who can make a difference, they are the father, the mother, and the teacher as quoted by APJ Abdul Kalam. On 9th September 2019 students of Oriental College of pharmacy celebrated Teacher’s day in full bloom.
Teacher’s Day celebration was organised by the 3rd Year and 2nd Year student’s council and was conducted in the Seminar Hall of Oriental College of Pharmacy on 9th September 2019. The seminar hall was greatly decorated and was admired by all. The event commenced at 2:30 p.m. all teachers, principal madam, non- teaching staff and students belonging to 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year graced the event with their presence.
The event started with the formal welcome and the introduction to the event was given by Dr.(Mrs.) Mansi Golkar and after that there was lighting of lamp. There was floral welcome and felicitation of our Chief Guest Mr. Wasim Khan and Dr. Supriya Shidhaye, the Principal of Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (VESCOP). The event began with a very positive note.
Firstly Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Sudha Rathod gave a splendid speech about Teacher’s Day which was greeted by a grand round of applause and then it was handed over to the Chief Guest Dr. Supriya Shidhaye and she delivered a wonderful speech on positive attitude which was greeted by the grand round of applause followed by the striking cake cutting session. The entertainment section consisted of performances like singing by Ms. Vishakha Pandey, Ms. Shweta Pandey and Ms. Sakshi Sharma, dancing by Ms. Shubhangi Gupta, Ms. Akshaya Iyer, Ms. Sakshi Sharma and Ms. Shweta Pandey, poems by Mr. Omkar Dere, speech by Ms. Vartika Singh, skit by Mr. Japneet Singh Purewal, Mr. Rahul Gupta, Mr. Anuj Yadav, Ms. Akshaya Iyer, Ms. Shweta Pandey, Ms. Supriya Khot, Mr. Vishal Gaund, Mr. Sheetal Singh, Ms. Sakshi Sharma and shayari by Mr. Yogesh Sharma and Mr. Taha Ahmed. All the performence were marvellous and loved by all. The entire staff was provided with lunch and lastly a wonderful Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Omkar Gupta. The event ended at 5:30 pm. A great response from all teachers and non- teaching staff was received.
